"My approach is conservative, yet I treat each patient as if they were part of my family."
Dentistry is the perfect mix of finding solutions, improving health, and helping people smile! My team and I strive to ensure that we deliver the best oral care possible. My approach is conservative, yet I treat each patient as if they were a part of my family.
Through continued education and years of experience, I see more clearly the value of good health and strive to help each of my patients achieve their optimum vitality. Through the many procedures and exams completed, the knowledge that oral health greatly affects overall health keeps me motivated.
For nearly 30 years, my amazing team and I have strived to provide dental care in a warm, welcoming environment, using innovative techniques and technologies. It has been rewarding to share in the lives of our patients. I consider these friendships some of the richest joys of my career! I am grateful for the trust my patients place in me and my team. If you haven’t been in to our office, I look forward to meeting you and helping you feel part of the Wanlass Dental family.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Just recently I hit the halfway point…I’ve lived in Las Vegas for half of my life! Even though it’s very different from my native Michigan, I’m proud to call Las Vegas home. I love hiking through Red Rock, boating on Lake Meade, camping on Mount Charleston, or biking any trail I can find…all with my family! Five of my children are grown and live throughout the country, my youngest two children and wonderful wife keep me involved, active, and young! (Yes, I do love to watch almost any Michigan game!)
I have been so fortunate in my life and enjoy giving back to the community whenever I can. I’ve had the opportunity to do humanitarian work in other countries, as well as locally for various organizations. Our team and I have supported many causes close to our patients’ hearts, as well as supporting our troops through the Wounded Warrior Project. We’re grateful for opportunities to help bring smiles throughout the world!

We are excited to announce Dr. Jinhee Choi is joining our team! Please help us welcome her!
Dr. Jinhee Choi was born and raised in South Korea. She moved to the United States and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Her interest in becoming a dentist was born from her desire to help her mother. Her mom had been self conciseness about her smile and poor oral health. As she witnessed her mom and her struggle she used that as motivation to become a dentist. Her mom gained full confidence after multiple dental treatments and a restored beautiful smile. Dr. Choi believes she can make a difference in patients' lives through compassion and quality care.
Dr. Choi also enjoys serving people overseas. She has volunteered a number of times that has taken her to the following destinations: Honduras, Nepal, and the Philippines. Her last dental mission trip was to the Philippines in 2022, where she provided dental care to more than 100 people. Dr. Choi plans to continue sharing her skills as a dentist overseas. Dr. Choi takes great pride in quality dentistry and patient education. Learning from her mother's experience she understands firsthand the impact dental health can have in a person's life. It changes lives!
She has been happily married to her husband, Matthew Johnson, for ten years and they enjoy outdoor activities together.
